Miami-Dade County is working to update a criminal court computer system that has not seen substantial upgrades since it was implemented 23 years ago.
By the end of next month, the county will finish analyzing the technology needs of about 10,000 system users in the clerk of courts’ office, public defender’s office, state attorney’s office and other criminal justice agencies. That analysis will set the ball rolling for a long-awaited update.
