A Broward circuit judge convicted of driving under the influence could face a $20,000 fine, three-month unpaid suspension and a public reprimand under a new set of recommendations issued by the state Judicial Qualifications Commission.

The Florida Supreme Court last spring rejected a proposed JQC agreement with Judge Cynthia Imperato calling for a 20-day suspension and $5,000 fine. The court asked the panel to delve deeper into the issue further.
