Carlton Fields Jorden Burt is fighting for more than $1 million in fees and costs for its work in a guardianship case that one attorney called the talk of Miami-Dade’s probate court.

The firm represented Arthur Linde in his bid for emergency guardianship of his 80-year-old father, Barrett Linde, a prominent Washington-area developer. It has petitioned the court for more than $800,000 for about 1,760 hours of work for an average of more than $450 an hour.
