The former general counsel of Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein’s defunct law firm was sentenced Friday to 1½ years in federal prison for his insider role in the $1.2 billion fraud.

David Boden, 53, of Hallandale Beach, a non-equity partner at Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler in its heyday, pleaded guilty to wire fraud conspiracy for helping a broker attract investors to Rothstein’s settlement financing fraud. The broker paid a portion of his sales commissions to Boden for his services.
