Some litigators likely had Hurricane Irma flashbacks Friday when the power went out for a few hours at the Miami-Dade County Courthouse.

The outage, which started before opening time at the 73 W. Flagler St. building, sent 12 judges trudging up the block to hold hearings at the Lawson E. Thomas Courthouse Center at 175 NW First Ave. Electricity was on again by about 11:15 a.m. at the 89-year-old civil courthouse, said Miami-Dade Circuit spokeswoman Eunice Sigler.
