Bilzin Sumberg partner Albert Dotson Jr., who has been at the forefront of some of South Florida’s biggest recent infrastructure projects, was recognized Wednesday as Attorney of the Year at the Daily Business Review’s Professional Excellence Awards event.
Dotson had his hand in the Hard Rock Stadium rejuvenation and deals to launch All Aboard Florida and upgrade Miami-Dade Transit’s Metrorail train fleet. The firm’s land development and government relations group leader has been a vocal proponent of public-private partnerships, or P3s, which have been promoted as a solution for the nation’s aging infrastructure. He helped bring the London-based P3 Bulletin South Conference to Miami, attracting more than 2,000 attendees.
