South Floridians’ newest option to fight a traffic ticket isn’t a law firm with its name plastered on bus stops and billboards — it’s a web app created by a former U.S. Navy officer.

“I have zero background in traffic tickets,” said Chris Riley, the founder of TIKD, which promises to get minor traffic tickets dismissed for a fee that works out to 15 percent to 30 percent lower than the standards fine. “I’m not a lawyer. None of the things that you think I might have do I have.”
