Fort Lauderdale attorneys have secured a $1.35 million verdict for a man who was partially paralyzed after a trip to a Miramar emergency room.

Christopher Banks arrived at Memorial Hospital Miramar in December 2012 with excruciating back pain, and within a few hours, his left foot became numb, according to his attorney Jay Cohen. But an emergency room doctor failed to order an MRI of the then-38-year-old’s lower back until the next day.
