A Delray Beach psychiatrist prevailed in a suit filed by a patient who claimed he was injured by electroconvulsive therapy, or ECT.

Shaul Dadi received ECT for depression in 2010. He claimed the procedures were not administered properly and undertaken without written consent while he was being treated with medication. He sued the psychiatrist who administered the eight ECT treatments, claiming they damaged the front lobe and destroyed functions such as cognitive thought and memory.
