The Florida Bar Foundation hired a South Florida pro bono program officer to help expand legal resources for low-income residents across the region, the foundation announced Monday.
Anais Taboas, most recently a pro bono coordinator and staff attorney at Florida Rural Legal Services in West Palm Beach and Fort Myers, will work out of Akerman’s Miami office starting Nov. 7. The firm donated office and conference space to the foundation, along with continuing legal education appellate training for legal aid lawyers.
