A class action lawsuit over melting dashboards in Nissan Altima vehicles could see plaintiffs attorneys drive away with a $1.6 million payday.

Attorneys at Gibbs Law Group in Miami Beach, Morgan & Morgan in Tampa and Greg Coleman Law in Knoxville, Tennessee, filed a motion Friday in federal court in Fort Lauderdale for $1.3 million in fees and $348,000 in expenses. They also asked Chief Judge K. Michael Moore in the U.S. District for the Southern District of Florida for a $5,000 service award for each of the named plaintiffs, Tracy Sanborn and Louis Lucrezia.
