The vast majority of respondents to a Florida Bar survey favor retaining the less restrictive Frye standard in admitting testimony in state court over the stricter federal Daubert standard.

The survey solicited opinions from Florida attorneys and legal groups on the hot-button topic, which is up for a vote by the Florida Bar board of governors Dec. 4 in Naples. The Legislature approved the change in 2013, but the Florida Supreme Court will make a final decision.
