Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Rodolfo Ruiz granted immunity Friday to a woman who fatally shot a man who attacked her brother in a strip club parking lot.
Ruiz decided Kimberly Matthews should not face criminal charges under Florida’s 2005 stand your ground law, ruling it was reasonable to believe force was necessary to prevent death or severe injury.
