A state legal ethics referee has recommended disciplinary action against father-and-son lawyers who worked on the same insurance litigation that got Broward Circuit Judge Laura Watson in trouble.
Referee reports filed April 7 with the Florida Supreme Court recommend disbarring Harley Kane and a three-year suspension for his father, Charles Kane, for their work while at Kane & Kane in Boca Raton. Both lawyers are now with the Greenspan Law Firm in Boca Raton.
