A Miami federal bankruptcy judge said he’s not in the business of protecting billionaires from litigation in rejecting a $83 million settlement with creditors and contractors for the monumentally failed Fontainebleau Las Vegas casino.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge A. Jay Cristol rejected the settlement Wednesday, notably the request for a bar order that would have prohibited lenders from suing the developer, Aventura’s Soffer family.
