Congratulations to Steve Millan on his resounding victory in today‘s Judicial Elections. It is great to see that hard work, impeccable public service, a long distinguished career, and for those who knew of the details of his vision, a three year effort to get to know the voters on a one on one basis, overcame the belief that money and dirty campaigning is necessary to win a Judicial Election in Dade County.

Rather, that a family man, a father of five children can aspire to obtain what money could not buy and reinforce the belief that "the good guys" can still win without resorting to dirty, manipulative or shady politics, but rather can be the true "Captain" of his ship, merely with hard work, dignity, grace, humility and trust in god, instead of Rumpling by resorting to lies, innuendo and chickenary. Hopefully, as the months progress, the unacceptable efforts of those I refer to and those we all know were culprits this Judicial election season, surely will be admonished.

As the night progresses, I wish my good friends still in the battle best of luck, even when some are battling each other. Some will have learned that aligning as a pack with other candidates was an error. And of course, kudo‘s to Rachel Dooley for showing dignity in running a clean upbeat campaign--your time will come, as it has for Judge Steven Millan.

And to those incumbents who were upset by the forces of evil, I wish them the best of luck and hope they take solace in knowing that their defeat was not a reflection of their skill and dedication to the bench, but of a system that is completely broken, manipulated by back door shenanigans, absentee ballot rigging, and a culture of divisiveness. Hopefully those forces will be unmasked and banished to where they belong
