After years of inactivity, a segment of Hialeah off I-75 has roused developers’ interest and attracted two major residential projects that will bring thousands of homes and transform sprawling raw parcels into master-planned communities.

Along West 34th Avenue bordering northwest Miami Lakes and Hialeah Gardens, Miami-based Lennar Corp. is building Aragon, a Spanish-style gated community with houses ranging from 2,362 to 2,776 square feet at prices of $359,000 to $414,000.
