Morgan Lewis Partner Estevez Named GC Of Hispanic Institute
Anne Marie Estevez, a Miami partner with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, has been named general counsel of the Washington-based Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. She takes over the position from former Morgan Lewis partner Derek Leon.
Estevez practices labor and employment law, focusing on the defense and trial of complex employment and accessibility cases in federal and state courts as well as on advising, training and counseling companies on state and federal employment and accessibility laws. She is fluent in Spanish.
In 2006, Estevez was named a finalist for Hispanic Business magazine's 2006 Hispanic Woman of the Year Award. She is admitted to practice in Florida and the District of Columbia.
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute is one of the leading Hispanic nonprofit and nonpartisan organizations in the country, established in 1978 to help increase opportunities for Hispanics to participate in and contribute to the American policymaking process.
