Corporate Counsel Organization Gives $2,5000 To Children's Hospital
The South Florida chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, has presented a $2,500 donation to the Miami Children's Hospital Foundation.
The gift was raised through a silent auction at the association's recent Continuing Legal Education conference at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood on September 30. The event's platinum sponsor, the Miami law firm of Bilzin Sumberg, designated the recipient of the donation.
"We were delighted that the attorneys at Bilzin Sumberg recommended such a worthy cause to receive our charitable support," said chapter president Kellee Cueto. "Miami Children's Hospital is renowned for pediatric excellence, serving children and families in South Florida and beyond."
Future local events include the Top In-House Department of the Year awards dinner, sponsored by the chapter in cooperation with the Daily Business Review, on November 14 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami.
The chapter's annual holiday party will celebrated Dec. 14 at the Chart House Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. Nationally, a contingent of chapter members also will participate in the ACC annual meeting scheduled for Sunday through Oct. 30 in Los Angeles.
The South Florida chapter serves Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Its 420 members include in-house attorneys who work for local, national and international corporations, and other private-sector organizations.
A global bar association, the ACC serves more than 30,000 members in more than 75 countries.
Profits To Be Donated
