The Deal: In the most expensive traditional apartment complex sale of 2012, the 505-unit Emerald Palms community in Miami-Dade County sold for $70.5 million Dec. 17. Two companies managed by Cleveland-based Forest City Enterprises Inc. sold the 12300 SW 151st St. property near Zoo Miami. A company managed by Denver-based Grand Peaks Properties Inc. was the buyer.
