A state appeals panel upheld a Miami-Dade Circuit Court judge’s rejection of an attempt to invalidate a quit-claim deed for a Miami-Dade commercial property, citing the absence of “abuse of discretion” by the trial court.

It is up to the circuit court to determine whether the quit-claim deed was legally sufficient to transfer ownership of the property from appellant State Investment Holding Inc. to Merrick Partnership LLC, a three-judge panel of the Third District Court of Appeal said Wednesday.
