Greenberg Traurig is negotiating confidential settlements with current and former NFL players including former UM stars Clinton Portis, Roscoe Parrish and Duane Starks, who sued the law firm for allegedly failing to warn them about trouble with their Alabama casino investments. The firm denies wrongdoing.

    This fight is going to be very contentious. If the law firm settles with one that usually means the rest have a good chance to reach a settlement with the rest of the plaintiffs. It's very hard to maintain a hardline when everyone else has been appeased and their case is settled.
