Former U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek, a Miami Democrat who succeeded his mother in Congress, joins King & Spalding as a senior adviser in its Washington government advocacy and public policy practice.

Meek, who served four terms in Congress from 2002 to 2010, will primarily advise clients on health care, homeland security, agriculture and financial services. In Congress, he was a member of the House Ways and Means, Armed Services and Homeland Security committees.
