Greenberg Traurig has voluntarily withdrawn as counsel from a federal lawsuit, thereby avoiding allegations that it tried to switch sides and invalidate patents that it had previously helped prosecute.
Back in March, Apollo Enterprise Solutions Ltd. sued Lantern Credit in federal court in California for breach of contract, alleging that Lantern had failed to honor its contract and pay it for services rendered. Under the contract, it had agreed to provide Lantern with its TrueCollect service, which involves online payment, debt collection and debt recovery technologies in one efficient offering. Apollo, represented by Kinsella Weitzman Iser Kump & Aldisert, alleges that Lantern owes it $2 million.
