An Episcopalian priest who has been fined for feeding the homeless is asking a state court to strike down as unconstitutional a recently enacted ordinance in Fort Lauderdale.

The lawsuit filed Wednesday in Broward Circuit Court by the Rev. Mark Sims asks for declarative and injunctive relief, asserting the measure that took effect Nov. 1 violates the U.S. and Florida constitutions and the Florida Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
