A Fort Lauderdale lawyer who was disbarred was among seven South Florida lawyers receiving discipline from the Florida Supreme Court.

Carlo Jean-Joseph lost his license following previous discipline. He was suspended from Dec. 8, 2008, to Oct. 30, 2013, but continued to practice law. In one instance, he collected a fee in an immigration case, failed to keep the client informed of actions in the case and caused the woman’s petition for temporary protected status to be denied.
