Justin Bieber has hired celebrity lawyer Roy Black of Black, Srebnick, Kornspan & Stumpf in Miami and a Los Angeles attorney to represent him following a pre-dawn arrest today in Miami Beach.

Miami-Dade Circuit Joseph Farina set bail at $2,500 on charges of drag racing and driving under the influence.

Bieber, 19, was accused of racing after drinking with another singer—Bieber in a yellow Lamborghini and the other driver in a red Ferrari.

Black successfully defended Brazilian race car driver Helio Castroneves in a federal tax case and William Kennedy Smith in a date rape case. Black also represented actor Kelsey Grammer, conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh, play-by-play sportscaster Marv Albert and "Girls Gone Wild" creator Joe Francis.

Meanwhile, Bieber was supposed to be in Los Angeles to give a deposition today in a lawsuit filed by a Miami photographer who claimed Bieber ordered his bodyguard to rough him up outside a North Miami recording studio last June 5.

The attorney seeking the deposition plans to ask a Miami judge to hold the pop star in contempt for failing to show up for the scheduled deposition.

Bieber's Los Angeles lawyer, Howard Weitzman, filed an emergency motion with Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Sarah Zabel to stay the deposition due to Bieber's cross-country arrest.

Aventura attorney Mark DiCowden, who represents photographer Jeffrey Binion in the civil suit, said: "I'm disappointed but I'm not surprised by the turn of events. I'm going to file a motion and seek sanctions against Justin Bieber for contempt for his non-appearance."

DiCowden, who flew Wednesday night to Los Angeles, said he would stay to depose the bodyguard Friday. He took over the case against Bieber from Delray Beach attorney Russell Adler, who is serving a 91-day suspension from The Florida Bar.

Soooo Miami Beach. How clever: Delray attorney suspended while representing what sounds like a pretty frivolous law suit.
