Miami-Dade Circuit Judges Beatrice “Betty” Butchko and William Thomas were tapped Friday to join the court’s expanded complex business litigation division in January.
The two judges will join Miami-Dade Circuit Judge John Thornton, who has long been the only judge in the division. Starting next year, the court will mandate that the division handle all complex business disputes above $750,000.
