Law Schools UM offering joint degree for entertainment law practice

he University of Miami School of Law and Frost School of Music have launched a joint degree program for students interested in practicing entertainment law. Students will be able to complete a law degree and a master’s degree in music business and entertainment industries in three years, including two summers of coursework. The school will count up to nine law credits toward the master’s degree and six music credits toward the law degree, allowing students to skip up to 15 credits between the two programs. For questions, students should contact the law school’s dean of students about the law component and assistant music professor Serona Elton, who also is a lawyer, about the master’s degree.
