A landlord did not know when to back off in a tenant bankruptcy case and nearly landed in jail, according to a Miami bankruptcy attorney.
Facing imminent eviction while struggling with his bills, Josue Guerra filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy Sept. 24, and U.S. District Judge A. Jay Cristol granted a stay from creditors. Guerra has a wife and two children.
