BFC Financial earns $26 million in second quarter

Fort Lauderdale-based BFC Financial Corp., which derives income mostly from investments in other companies such as Bluegreen Corp. and Benihana, reported net income of $25.7 million compared to a loss of $6.9 million in the same period last year.
