With the South Florida Sun-Sentinel’s upcoming relocation — and downsizing — from the New River Center in Fort Lauderdale to the nearby Broward Financial Centre, the city’s downtown office market keeps a coveted tenant but increases an already high vacancy rate.

A Sun-Sentinel spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday that the company has signed a long-term lease to occupy 30,000 square feet at the Broward Financial Centre at 500 E. Broward Blvd. Terms of the lease were not disclosed.
