Finding creative ways to collect homeowner fees

 

Alex Diaz de Villegas is the chair of the South Dade Venture Community Development District. He recently led an effort to persuade Waterstone II to transfer control of its clubhouse, pool, gatehouses and other amenities to the community development district. The CDD will use its taxing authority to collect fees from delinquent homeowners and pay for the upkeep of Waterstone II's amenities itself.
