A 17-year-old from Polk County successfully challenged a trial court ruling that would have required her physician to notify one of her parents before performing terminating her pregnancy. The Second DCA granted a judicial waiver under Florida's Parental Notice of Abortion Act after concluding that the minor, referred to as Jane Doe by the court, is mature enough to make the decision for herself.
