Dade County Bar Association
The Dade County Bar Association presented awards and installed a new slate of officers and directors June 17 during ceremonies at downtown Miami’s Hotel Inter-Continental. Robert J. Fiore took the oath as president for 2004-2005, and Russell Jacobs was installed as the Young Lawyers Section president. Honorees included Joseph P. Farina, chief judge of Miami-Dade Circuit Court (Sookie Williams Award); Democratic state Rep. Dan Gelber and Republican state Sen. Alex Villalobos (Outstanding Community Service Award); and Herman J. Russomano, a past president of The Florida Bar and Dade County Bar Association (David W. Dyer Professionalism Award).
