Nine civic leaders were honored at the Dec. 1 Champions of Equality reception at Miami’s Bank of America Tower. The event, co-sponsored by SAVE (Safeguarding American Values for Everyone), helped celebrate Miami-Dade’s Human Rights Ordinance prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation.
